Spending every Saturday studying at Manhattan School of Music as teenagers\, they would skip music theory to practice showtunes\, dance in the park\, and play Irish jigs and reels instead. Having realized that Broadway dream\, they recently wrapped up a seven-month run performing together in the orchestra for the 2018 Broadway revival of Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Carousel. Keve and Rachel are currently awaiting Broadway’s return\, where they are in the orchestras of Company (Keve) and West Side Story (Rachel). Other Broadway shows they have played include Something Rotten!\, A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder and Dr. Zhivago\, among others. From Hyde Park\, New York\, Rachel and Keve have developed a concert showcasing their interest in music from around the world. Rachel spent a year playing violin in Bolivia while Keve toured Germany\, and they enjoy coming together to create and share new tunes they can play without sheet music. They continue to transcend genres with unique and creative repertoire\, and weave personal tales from their life-long friendship throughout their concerts. In NYC\, Keve and Rachel play to packed houses at venues such as Feinstein’s/54 Below as well as in-home concerts for Concerts in Motion. \nWebsite | YouTube \nSterling Strings \nNoticing a lack of diverse representation in classical music\, and a lack of well produced string covers\, cellist Eric Cooper came up with the idea for Sterling Strings. Founded in 2016\, Sterling Strings has pushed the boundaries of what a string quartet can do. Composed of Black classically-trained string players\, Sterling Strings has performed at various venues throughout NYC including Joe’s Pub\, Jazz and Lincoln Center\, Madison Square Garden\, Rockwood Music Hall\, and Alley Cat Amateur Theater at the Beekman Hotel. In addition\, they have played numerous educational concerts around NYC in order to inspire the next generation of string players. The group is also highly sought after for private events due to their vast and eclectic repertoire and fiery interpretations. \nWebsite | Facebook | Instagram \nImpromptunes will be presented at Brookfield Place\, Brooklyn Commons\, Manhattan West\, Zuccotti Park\, Grace Plaza\, and One New York Plaza. \nAll events and activations at Brookfield Place adhere to New York State regulations to ensure the safety of the public and staff.  \nRECEIVE A FREE GIFT! \nAttend an art installation or event presented by Brookfield Properties at each of the following three locations—Brookfield Place\, Manhattan West\, and Brooklyn Commons—and you’ll receive a gift!
