DESCRIPTION:June 1 -7 is National CPR & AED Awareness Week! \nOn June 6\, the American Heart Association will be hosting Hands-Only CPR demonstrations on the Waterfront Plaza at Brookfield Place. Stop by for an easy and brief demonstration on how to perform hands-only CPR properly. \nHands-Only CPR is CPR without rescue breaths. If you see a teen or adult collapse\, you can perform Hands-Only CPR with just two easy steps: \n\nCall 911 and\nPush hard and fast in the center of the chest to the beat of the Bee Gees’ classic disco song “Stayin’ Alive.” The song is 100 beats per minute – the minimum rate you should push on the chest during Hands-Only CPR.\n\nABOUT THE AMERICAN HEART ASSOCIATION \nThe American Heart Association is the nation’s oldest and largest voluntary organization dedicated to fighting heart disease and stroke.
